Using Visio 500 in force sensor mode
The other important reading table mode is the force sensor mode. In this
mode the reading table is locked in the y-direction. The movement in y-
direction is now done by the camera. Force sensors in the reading table
control the camera movement. The reading table has to be pushed and
pulled on the front to use them. The stronger you push or pull, the faster
the camera will move.
A big advantage of this feature is the new space that can be used in front
of the Visio 500. For example a keyboard can be placed in front of the
reading table.
So how to put Visio 500 in force
mode. First of all set the reading
mode lever in horizontal position.
Now move back the reading table
to the back of the Visio 500. It
should lock in now. Make sure
that the brake in front of the
reading table is not activated
when using force sensor mode.
This means the front lever is in
leftmost position. Also the damper
for the Y-direction should be
disengaged.
The Y-movement is blocked, the
camera moves instead when you
push or pull against the reading
table. The faster you push or pull
the faster the camera moves.
