SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
Read this instruction manual carefully before use and keep it for future reference.
1. Protect this product from moisture, humidity, water and any other liquid. Avoid using/storing it in extreme temperatures. Do not
expose it to direct sunlight and sources of heat.
2. Product suitable for indoor use only.
3. The charger is intended for use with Ni-MH/Ni-Cd batteries only. Charging other battery types may cause explosions, breakage,
personal injury or property damage.
4. Do not operate this charger if the plug or any other part is damaged.
5. Unplug the device from power supply immediately, in case of smoke coming out of the unit, liquid or material leakage, if the casing
has changed shape or the product has been dropped or damaged.
6. This appliance may be used by children who are above 8 years old and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they are supervised and guided by a person who is responsible for their safety
in a cautious manner, and all the safety precautions are understood and followed. Children should not play with this device. Children
should not perform cleaning and servicing of the device unsupervised.
7. Do not attempt to repair this device yourself. In case of damage, contact with an authorized service point for check-up/repair.
8. Before plugging the charger to power supply make sure the batteries are inserted correctly. Do not reverse the +/- polarities.
9. Incorrect use may result in electric shock.
10. Different batteries should not be mixed. Do not mix batteries with different sizes or capacities.
11. ALWAYS disconnect this device from power supply mains before cleaning.
12. Clean this device with soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use any abrasives or chemical agents to clean this product.
13. For indoor use only.
14. Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries!
OPERATION:
1. Insert the charger into an AC outlet.
2. For charging:
1. Move the function switch to the "CHARge" position.
2. Insert batteries into slots.
3. The corresponding red LeDs lights up indicating that charging is in progress. For charging 9 V batteries, the "9 V" red LeDs
lights up.
3. For testing:
1. Move the function switch to the "TeST" position.
2.
The red LED in the first slot (closest to the function switch) will turn off.
3.
Insert the battery to be tested into the first slot.
4. The battery test LeD will light up to indicate the strength of the battery (no light for no power; very bright for lots of power).
5. Note: Batteries at other slots will continue charging at the same time.
4. For discharging:
1. Move the function switch to the "DISCHARge" position (please note, the device does not support discharging function for 9 V
batteries).
2. All the red LeDs (with the exception of the ones for 9 V batteries) will go off to indicate batteries are in discharge mode.
5. Please note that this is NOT an automatic charger. The charger does not switch to charge mode automatically after discharge. To
check the batteries are fully discharged, use the "Test" function.
6. Disconnect the charger from the AC outlet when the battery is full/not in use.
7. Remove the batteries from the charger.
8. Please study the given charging timetable for the required charging time. Please note that this timetable is for reference only.
Charging time varies with batteries of different brands.
