Outrigger

Remove the pan brake as follows
:
8.1
Remove the pan brake knob
(See “Brake knob adjustment” on page 24)

8.2
Pull the assembled brake calliper (5) (6) and shaft (2) (3) out of the outrigger.
8.3
Screw the shaft (2) out of the calliper (5). Remove and discard the ‘O’ ring (3). If required,
disengage and remove the brake wedges (6).

Remove the tilt brake as follows

9.2
Pull the assembled brake calliper (21) (22) and shaft (19) (20) out of the outrigger.
9.3
Screw the shaft (19) out of the calliper (22). Remove and discard the ‘O’ ring (20). If required,
disengage and remove the brake wedges (21).

Remove circlip (4) to free tilt drive shaft (5).

Prise LED lens (6) out of outrigger (18), if required, to enable wiring to be removed.
Electrical installation
12
Remove the PCB assembly and associated wiring from the mechanism housing as follows
:
12.1 Remove push-button cap (7) and ‘O’ ring (8) from switch on PCB (2).
12.2 Free wiring from channels in the mechanism housing (1).
12.3 Remove screw (9) and free PCB assembly (2) from mechanism housing.
12.4 Remove PCB assembly, potentiometer and associated wiring from mechanism housing.
12.5 Remove dowel pin (12) from mechanism housing.
NOTE:
The pan brake and tilt brake wedges are NOT interchangeable
NOTE:
The tilt brake and pan brake wedges are NOT interchangeable
NOTE:
The PCB and wiring is secured in the mechanism housing using silicone adhesive. Do not
remove unless required.
