200 Disc Capacity Model

The autoloader model is based on the 100 Disc Capacity Model and it is achieved by adding an additional
spindle to increase the capacity to 200 Discs. See “Appendix - Installing the 3
rd
Spindle on 100 Disc
Capacity Model” on page 48 for detailed instruction information on the upgrade.
The 200 discs capacity version has three spindles (see Figure 1-4). Each spindle holds approximately 100
discs (actual quantity varies depending on the media thickness). Prior to starting a job, make sure Spindle 1
is empty. Stack the blank discs you wish to copy on Spindle 2 and 3 (see Figure 1-2 on page 3 for proper
media stacking). The robotic arm picks blank discs from Spindle 2 first, and places the successfully copied
discs onto Spindle 1. Once Spindle 2 is empty, it picks blank discs from Spindle 3, and places the
successfully copied discs onto Spindle 2. Reject discs are placed on the deck below the drive trays.
(Throughout this manual, this area
is also referred to as the “Reject Area”).
