12.02.01 Removing engine

cover

- Detach the ignition cable from the

spark plug to prevent unintentional
starting.

• Turn safety key

to position “Run

Position” (1/4 turn towards tank
cap), in order to release Quick-
Start.

• Actuate and hold the motorstop

control bar

on the handlebar.

• Pull Quick-Start control bar

quickly

straight back towards the handlebar
(spring of Quick-Start device is
released).

• Turn safety key

to lock position

“Lock & Remove” (1/4 turn away
from tank cap) and remove from
engine.

Models with Briggs & Stratton
Quantum engines

• Remove screws

• Remove upper engine cover

from

lower engine cover

• Remove screws

and remove lower
