7.4 Maintenance activities
Ensure that the following preconditions are met before work begins:
Heating system is out of operation.
Main switch is switched off.
Boiler has cooled down.

After completing the maintenance activities switch the main switch back on.
7.4.1 Clean ash pan, combustion chamber bottom (1)

1. Fold up ash pan door.
2. Visual check of seals:
Check for wear and damage and replace if necessary.
3. Ash is pushed towards the ash pan door by the combustion chamber cleaning
device.

Due to the special shape of the cleaning device it is possible to remove the ash
without dismantling the ash agitator.
4. With boilers without de-ashing module:
Check if the de-ashing module cover is lying in the recess.
5. Pull out ash pan and remove ash in suitable container.
Danger of fire from hot ash!
Hot ash can ignite filters and plastic in an unsuitable vacuum cleaner.
Warning!
1. Use an appropriate, special ash vacuum.
2. Under no circumstances use a plastic domestic vacuum cleaner with paper/material
filters.
6. Clean ash pan with hand brush or ash vacuum cleaner (optional).
7. Insert ash pan and close ash pan door.

With de-ashing modules with 20l ash box the cleaning interval is extended.
