Checking at the floor vent without test funnel:
Where available, the test can also be carried out
with a suitable test funnel.
1.
■
Select ventilation stage 2 (

■
If installed,
disable
the monitoring of relative
humidity and CO

concentration.
Set
"V1 on/off"
and
"V2 on/off"
to
"0"
.
"Vitovent 300-W" operating instructions
2.
With an impeller air speed meter, check the air
speed (or the air flow rate directly) at the supply air
and extract air valves (observe the instructions of
the test equipment manufacturer).
Record actual values in the commissioning report.
Note
Use test funnel
B
for supply air and extract air
valves. This enables the entire air flow rate at the
annular gap of the supply air/extract air valve to be
captured.
Where a test funnel cannot be used, for example in
larger supply air or extract air vents (such as floor
vents), carry out several tests across the area and
calculate an average value.
3.
Based on the actual air speed, look up the air flow
rates in the diagrams or table from page 25.
Record the determined values in the commissioning
report.
4.
Determine the deviation between the calculated
(from engineering plans) and actual air flow rates.
5.
Adjust the supply air/extract air vents in accordance
with the deviation.
Record the new aperture widths/annular gap in the
commissioning report.
6.
Repeat the air speed test and check the fine adjust-
ment.
Record the new values in the commissioning report.
7.
Fix the aperture width on the supply air/extract air
vent after the final adjustment (if necessary secure
with a locknut).
8.
If previously disabled, re-enable monitoring of the
relative humidity and CO
2
concentration.
Set
"V1 on/off"
and
"V2 on/off"
to
"1"
.
Note
Adjusting the air flow rates with the use of an impeller
air speed meter will
not
provide high accuracy. Devia-
tions by
±
10 % are possible. What is important is the
proportional distribution of the air flow rates for the
supply air and the extract air areas.
