Introduction
The information in this manual covers the installation of the V925-PH Pendant Housing for the V925 Impact-
Resistant Camera Domes. This unit should be installed by a qualified technician using approved materials in
accordance with national, state and local codes. Read these instructions through completely before attempting
installation.
The V925-PH provides pendant mounting for the V925 Camera Domes. Refer to Installation and Operation Manual
XX075 for the Roughneck V925 Camera Domes for complete installation instructions. The pendant housing was
designed for use with any mount that supports the total weight of the V925 and V925-PH and adapts to a 1-inch NPT
pipe thread. Refer to the Installation and Operation Manual for the selected mount for specific mounting information.
Installation
If it is desired that the V925 Dome Camera be installed in a pendant configuration, it must be installed in a
V925-PH pendant housing. The accessory kit for the housing includes necessary hardware for installation. The
mounting surface must provide suitable strength to support the weight of the Roughneck V925 and the V925-PH
combined, which is approximately 6 lb (2.7 kg). Be sure the area in the selected location is clear of obstacles (such
as steel beams, headers, pipes, electrical wiring, etc.), which would interfere with mounting. Video and power cables
must be routed to the location. Follow the steps below and refer to Figure 1.
1. Install the selected mount using appropriate hardware for the installation surface and run the cables through it
according to the instruction manual for the mount.
2. Run the cables to the V925 according to the installation manual.
3. Wrap the Teflon tape supplied in the accessory kit clockwise around the threads of the wall mount to ensure a
snug fit.
4. Remove the two (2) screws that hold the enclosure to the mounting plate and detach the mounting plate from the
enclosure.
5. Remove the electrical box and gasket from the mounting plate by removing the two (2) screws in the
countersunk holes and discard.
6. Attach the mounting plate of the V925 to the V925-PH mounting ring/gasket, using the mounting holes noted in
Figures 2 and 3, with the 8-32 screws and no.8 lockwashers provided.
7. Screw the V925-PH assembly onto the wall mount. Tighten the set screw next to the mounting opening of the
housing with an Allen wrench (1/16, not provided) to lock the housing to the mount.
8. Connect the cables to the connectors on the enclosure. See Figure 4. (Use an isolated power source.)
9. Attach the enclosure to the mounting plate using the previously removed screws.
10. Continue with the instructions in the V925 installation manual for camera configuration.
