Under Cable Manufacturer and Cable Name , the manufacturer,
and used cable type is selected. This can be definied in Manage
Cables (see “Changing general instrument settings” on
page 32).
In addition, the measuring direction can be specified. In
Unidirectional , measurements are performed in only one
direction. In Bidirectional , both directions are measured. After
the first measurement, the cables must be connected crosswise,
as prompted on the touchscreen.
To select the test setup (reference method presettings):
√ The instrument is in Tier 1 Test mode.
1. Press the [

] key.
2. Tap the [ Test Setup ] button.
3. Tap the desired test setup that best meets your test
requirements.
To edit the test setup (reference method presettings):
√ The instrument is in Tier 1 Test mode.
1. Press the [

] key.
2. Tap the [ Test Setup ] button.
3. Tap the desired test setup, press the [
A
] key, and tap the [ Edit ]
button.

To copy an existing setup, press the [
A
] key, and tap the [ Copy ]
button.

To create a new setup, press the [
A
] key, and tap the [ New ]
button.
The desired test setup is selected.
4. Adjust the setup settings:
