Connecting to the test port

Connecting to the test port

In case of a QUAD OTDR, the OTDR has 2x ports (1x Multimode and 1x Singlemode):

•

On the multimode port, multimode wavelengths are available for source and
power meter (typically 850/1300 nm).

•

On the singlemode port, singlemode wavelengths are available for source and
power meter (typically 1310/1490/1550/1625/1650 nm)

In case of Live/Filtered port, used for in-service measurement at 1625/1650 nm, there is
no power meter function on the port, except for SmartOTDR 118FA65PPM-APC.

Power meter function, as both options are using the same connector.
