Updating VST Firmware

The VST Module is shipped from the factory with the operating system and firmware

installed in the module.

Regular checks should be performed to ensure all system hardware contains the most

current software, drivers and or firmware.

Visit the VIAVI Solutions website at

https://www.viavisolutions.com/en-us/products/modular-axie#resources

to check for the

latest version of software, firmware and/or drivers.

Update Via Chassis Web Browser UI

The following procedure is used to update VST Firmware/Software when the Module has

been installed in a CMP AXIe Chassis. Read this procedure in its entirety before

proceeding.

How to Update Firmware using Chassis Web UI

Download firmware .zip file from the VIAVI Solutions website. Place firmware in a

network location accessible by the Chassis in which the Transceiver is installed.

Configure the Chassis for network connectivity (refer to Chassis User Documentation

for instructions).

Go to Instrument Slots in menu and select Transceiver.

Select Upgrade Firmware.
