Re-imaging the System

4.14 Re-imaging the System

Re-image the system if the unit has become inoperable and cannot be rebooted.

Perform the following procedure to re-image the System.

Ensure that the unit will have an uninterrupted supply of power during the

re-image. If necessary, connect the AC Power Adapter/Cord to the unit.

Confirm that a USB drive, on which extracted system software files are saved, is

available. Connect the USB drive into the USB connector on the top panel of the

unit.

Press the

Power

button

to turn the CX300 Off, then On.

•

The re-imaging process starts. Do not unplug the USB drive from the unit.

•

The unit automatically restarts when the update is completed.

After the unit has restarted, unplug the USB drive.

NOTE

Re-imaging deletes all files stored on the internal flash of the unit and reinstalls the

system software.

WARNING:

Electrical shock may result in serious injury or death.

•

Be sure the AC Power Adapter/Cord is connected to the correct

voltage mains.

•

Do not use the adapter outdoors or in wet locations.

•

Use only the AC Power Adapter/Cord supplied with the unit.
