Parental Control
You use the Parental Control menu to:
◆
block channels
◆
set viewing restrictions based on a programme’s age rating
◆
set purchase restrictions, and whether your PIN code is needed to purchase pay-
per-view events
◆
change your age PIN code
◆
change your purchase PIN code
About your PIN code
When you first use your box, your PIN code is 0000 . In order to make your PIN code
secret, you should change it to another number that you will find easy to remember, but
difficult for others to guess (see page 32) .
Entering your PIN code
There are several occasions when you may see a pop-up message asking you to enter your
PIN code, for example, before:

using the Parental Control and System Setup menus
◆
being able to watch a blocked channel
◆
making a pay-per-view purchase
In all cases, use the number buttons to enter your age PIN code (stars appear in place of
the actual digits), then press OK .
If you make a mistake while entering the PIN code, press
L
to delete one or more digits .
If you submit an incorrect PIN code, you will see a message asking you to try again .
How to change the Age PIN (PIN 1)
1 . Go to Settings > Parental Control .
2 . Log in to Parental Control with PIN 1 . It is 0000 by default .
3 . Use

to select Control Settings .
4 . Select the age from which you want Age PIN protection .
5 . Go to Change Age PIN - PIN 1 to edit the PIN .
How to enable and change the Purchase code (PIN 2)
1 . Go to Settings > Parental Control .
2 . Log in to Parental Control with PIN 1 . It is 0000 by default .
3 . Use

U
to select Control Settings .
4 . Select enable Purchase PIN to ‘On’
5 . Go to Change Purchase PIN - PIN 2 to edit the PIN . The default code is 0000 .
