5.8

Network Performance Test Server

5.8.1 Overview

The Network Performance Test Server (NPTS) is used to test the
performance of the network. It usually runs an FTP and the Web

Server and contains other useful COTS facilities such as iPerf, etc.
that can be used to measure network performance. The network

performance is usually measured between the Monitor Server and
the NPTS. The NPTS software is pre-installed and tested at the
factory.

The NPTS, when installed, runs on a blade server installed within

the ArcLight Blade System.

Figure 5-19 shows the front panel of the NPTS blade server.
