B.1

INTRODUCTION

Appendix B describes a typical status and command line configuration for the Series 3860 Digi-
tal Controller. Status and command lines are factory configured to meet the requirements of each
system.

B.2

STATUS LINES

Status lines monitor system equipment. They indicate the status (open or closed) of switches in
the system. A status line is closed when the menu item is displayed in normal video (light back-
ground with dark characters). Table B.1 describes the status line configuration. Figure B.1 illus-
trates the softkey menu structure of the status line configuration. The STAT II branch of the
menu would be similar to STAT I.

B.3

COMMAND LINES

Command lines control switch closures. A command line is closed when the menu item is dis-
played in reverse video (dark background with light characters). Table B.2 describes the com-
mand line configuration. Figure B.1 illustrates the softkey menu structure of the command line
configuration.
