6 Maintenance

Gearbox oil level check

Every 100 operating hours.

Vetus engines are normally equipped with
Technodrive or ZF-Hurth gearboxes. Con-
sult the supplied Owners Manual for more
details  about  care  and  maintenance.  In
case your engine is equipped with another
brand  of  gearbox  follow  the  instructions
given  in  the  supplied  owner’s  manual  for
changing  oil  and  other  care  and  mainte-
nance.

13 Oil level check

Take the dipstick out of the gearbox

housing by pulling or unscrewing.

Check the oil level by lowering the dip-

•

stick (cleaned) into the hole.

The oil level must between the two marks
on the dipstick

If necessary top up by pouring oil into

•

the filler hole or the dipstick hole.
