Introduction
This manual gives guidelines for the installation of the VETUS
CANNS500 digital battery monitoring shunt.
The CANNS500 measures the DC voltages of up to four batteries
bounded in series (batteries of the same battery bank) bounded in
series and includes a shunt for current measurements. Using all sen-
sor data available, the shunt calculates the state of charge of the bat-
tery bank and the remaining discharge time.
Several types of batteries are supported and can be configured
through any Wi-Fi connected device with a general web browser.
The CANNS500 comes standard with two temperature sensors
(VETUS codes: CANNSTR02 (2 metre), CANNSTR05 (5 metre).
The quality of the installation is decisive for the reliability of the sys-
tem. It is therefore imperative that the steps given in the installation
instructions are followed in full and checked afterwards.
Unauthorised modifications shall exclude the liability of the manu-
facturer for any resulting damage .
