Using the Lifter:
Step 3: To release the drum, set it on the ground. Continue to lower the hoist hook until there is slack in the chain.
The chain loop plate descends which opens the arms and releases the drum. Lower the hoist hook sufficiently to
allow the lock to automatically reapply. Once the lock pin seats into the receiver, raise the hoist hook and move
the lifter away from the drum.
Step 2: Attach the lifter to the drum: A) Lower the lifter
until the rim brackets contact the top of the drum; B)
Disengage the lock; and C) Then, raise the lifter until
both drum cradles rest against the upper rolling ring.
Step 1: Attach the chain to a hoist hook. The lifter
should be locked in the raised position shown in the
illustration. The lock is applied when a short pin
welded to the inside face of the lock plate seats into
the pin receiver. Disengage the lock by rotating the
lock plate counterclockwise to unseat the lock pin
