5.1. GOGGLES TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM
Light leakage from around the cushion.
SOLUTION
1. Ensure the goggles are positioned firmly on the face of the patient
and that the cushion is evenly positioned so that light is not visible
leaking in from the edges of the goggles at any point.
2. Ensure there is no damage to the cushion (tears, missing portions,
or deformed shape). If the cushion is damaged, contact Vestibular First at

3. Check the cushion to ensure there is no gapping between the cushion
and goggles. If there is gapping, remove and reattach the cushion
so that there are no gaps between the cushion and goggles.
4. Ensure the hook and loop is firmly attached to the cushion and the goggles.
a. If the hook and loop does not attach well even when firm even
pressure is applied, inspect the hook (body unit) and loop (cushion)
for debris or dirt that may be caught in the material.
b. Clean the cushion and body unit using the cleaning instructions
provided in
If there is remaining debris stuck on the hook
or loop material, remove it manually, then disinfect the surfaces.
c. If the hook and loop do not attach properly after these inspection and cleaning
steps are completed, please contact the manufacturer for assistance.
