10.4 Operating Cycle
Note: The customer is responsible for conducting their own risk
assessment prior to operating this product.
Note: Ensure that all pre-commissioning and commissioning checks have
been performed before proceeding with normal operation of this product.
Please refer to section 9.0 for a list of recommended checks.
Note: Always ensure that the operator is wearing the appropriate PPE
when operating this product. Please consult your Health and Safety
personnel and refer to section 2.0.
1. Load the prepared test sample into the tumbler (see section 10.2).
2. After installing all equipment and accessories as required, connect the product to
the electrical supply.
3. Turn the mains isolator switch to the ON position. A white lamp will illuminate on
the control cabinet to indicate that there is power to the unit.
4. Ensure that the counter is reset before each cycle. The counter is preset with the
number of required revolutions. If this must be adjusted, please refer to the sep-
arate counter controller manual provided.
5. Press and hold the START button until the tumbler begins to rotate. The tumbler
will then rotate for the set number of revolutions.
6. The tumbler will automatically stop after the number of revolutions has been com-
pleted, and will stop with the tumbler lid facing upwards.
7. The tumbler rotation can be stopped at any point during the operating cycle by
pushing the emergency stop button.
8. Once the tumbler has stopped rotating, open the safety guard and unload the tum-
bler (see section 10.3).
9. Turn the mains isolator switch to the OFF position.
Note: If the product is to be left switched off and unattended, isolate it from the
mains electrical supply.
