1. Introduction

This symbol on the device or the package indicates that disposal of the device after its lifecycle
could harm the environment. Do not dispose of the unit (or batteries) as unsorted municipal
waste; it should be taken to a specialized company for recycling. This device should be returned
to your distributor or to a local recycling service. Respect the local environmental rules.
If in doubt, contact your local waste disposal authorities.

3. Features

5. Operation
1. Attach the suction caps to the charger and attach the charger to the inside or outside of the car
windshield.
2. Alternatively, you can mount the charger to a wall using the keyhole slots at the rear of the charger.
3. Connect the cable to either the cigarette lighter or directly to the battery.
4. As long as there is sufficient sunlight, the charger will produce a small electrical current to trickle
charge your battery. The blue LED will flash when the panel is trickle charging the battery.
5. The charger will not overcharge or damage the battery. Similarly, a blocking diode ensures that the
charger cannot flatten your battery.
6. Please note that the SOL5N is designed to trickle charge batteries to compensate for the natural
drainage. It is not intended to recharge a completely discharged battery.
7. Disconnect the charger before starting the car or driving it. The electrical surges from the car engine
may damage the charger.
8. Some vehicles have tinted windows that seriously affect the performance of the solar charger if it is
positioned behind them. For optimum results, place the
SOL5N outside the vehicle in direct
sunlight.
WARNING
In some vehicles, the cigarette lighter may not be connected when the
ignition is turned off. In such cases, connect the SOL5N directly to the
car battery by means of the battery clips. Connect the black lead to the
negative (-) pole and the red lead to the positive (+) pole.
