Safety Instructions
● This device can be used by children aged from
8 years and above, and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning the use of the
device in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children shall not play with the device.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children without supervision. ● This appliance is for
indoor use only. Keep this device away from rain,
moisture, splashing and dripping liquids. Never put
objects filled with liquids on top of or close to the
device. Do not submerge in water or any other liquid.
● This device is not suitable for outdoor use, use in
barns, stables, and similar locations. Do not use the
appliance in locations where flammable vapour or
explosive dust is likely to exist. ● Warning! If the
power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid any hazard. ● Keep this
device away from dust and extreme heat. ● Protect
this device from shocks. ● Never insert metal objects
into the device: risk of electroshock. ● Do not stare
into the UV lamp. Permanent eye damage may occur.

an unauthorised way will void the warranty.
● Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines
in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the
dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing

Operation
Flying insects are attracted by the UV light which is
mounted behind a high voltage electrical grid. When
touching the grid, the insects are electrocuted. Place
the insect killer in a dry location. Plug it into a
suitable mains outlet. Unplug the device from the
mains to stop operation.
5.
Maintenance
The cleaning frequency depends on the intensity of
use. Check the tray of the device at least once a
week. Clean more often if necessary. Unplug the
device from the mains before cleaning.
Clean the insect killer regularly with a dry, clean
cloth. Do not submerge into any liquid.

Dit symbool op het toestel of de verpakking geeft aan
dat, als het na zijn levenscyclus wordt
weggeworpen, dit toestel schade kan
toebrengen aan het milieu. Gooi dit toestel
(en eventuele batterijen) niet bij het
gewone huishoudelijke afval; het moet bij
een gespecialiseerd bedrijf terechtkomen
voor recyclage. U moet dit toestel naar uw verdeler
of naar een lokaal recyclagepunt brengen.

Veiligheidsvoorschriften
● Dit toestel is geschikt voor gebruik door kinderen
vanaf 8 jaar, door personen met fysieke, zintuiglijke
of verstandelijke beperkingen, of door personen met
gebrek aan ervaring en kennis, op voorwaarde dat dit
onder toezicht gebeurt van een persoon die
verantwoordelijk is voor hun veiligheid of hun
aanwijzingen heeft gegeven, hoe zij het toestel
moeten gebruiken en zich bewust zijn van de risico's
die het gebruik van het toestel met zich meebrengt.
Kinderen mogen niet met het toestel spelen. De
reiniging en het onderhoud van het toestel mogen
niet worden uitgevoerd door kinderen, tenzij ze onder
toezicht staan. ● Dit toestel is enkel geschikt voor
gebruik binnenshuis. Bescherm het toestel tegen
regen, vochtigheid en opspattende vloeistoffen.
Plaats geen objecten gevuld met vloeistof op of naast
het toestel. Dompel nooit onder in water of een
andere vloeistof. ● Het toestel is niet geschikt voor
gebruik buitenshuis, in schuren, stallen en
gelijkaardige plaatsen. Gebruik het toestel niet in
plaatsen waar ontvlambare dampen of explosief stof
kan voorkomen. ● Waarschuwing! Indien de
voedingskabel beschadigd is, dan moet deze door de
fabrikant, diens servicedienst, of een gelijkwaardig
bekwaam persoon vervangen worden om gevaar te
voorkomen. ● Bescherm dit toestel tegen stof en
extreme temperaturen. ● Bescherm tegen schokken.
● Steek nooit een metalen voorwerp in het toestel:
om elektrische schokken te voorkomen. ● Kijk niet
naar de UV-lamp om permanente oogletsels te
vermijden.

tegen schokken. Vermijd brute kracht tijdens de
bediening van het toestel. ● Leer eerst de functies
van het toestel kennen voor u het gaat gebruiken.
● Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen wijzigingen
aanbrengen. Schade door wijzigingen die de
gebruiker heeft aangebracht aan het toestel valt niet
onder de garantie. ● Gebruik het toestel enkel
waarvoor het gemaakt is. De garantie vervalt
automatisch bij ongeoorloofd gebruik. ● De garantie
geldt niet voor schade door het negeren van bepaalde
richtlijnen in deze handleiding en uw dealer zal de
verantwoordelijkheid afwijzen voor defecten of
problemen die hier rechtstreeks verband mee
houden. ● Bewaar deze handleiding voor verdere
raadpleging.
4.
Gebruik
Vliegende insecten zijn aangetrokken door het
blauwe licht van de UV-lamp achter het
hoogspanningsrooster. Als ze het rooster aanraken,
worden de insecten geëlektrocuteerd. Plaats het
toestel op een droge plaats. Steek de stekker in een
geschikt stopcontact. Trek de stekker uit het
stopcontact om de werking te stoppen.
5.
Onderhoud
De reinigingsfrequentie hangt af van de intensiteit
van het gebruik. Controleer het vergaarbakje
minstens eenmaal per week. Reinig het bakje vaker
indien nodig. Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact
voor het schoonmaken.
Maak het toestel regelmatig schoon met een droge
doek. Dompel het toestel nooit in een vloeistof.
