Never put the wheelchair upholstery in a spin dryer!
Do not use bleaching agents or solvents. When dirt has
got into the material, you may carefully scrub down the
material with a soft brush.
The frame should be cleaned regularly with a damp cloth
and, possibly, a detergent (do not use corrosive or grating
agents such as acetone, acid or a wire brush). Next, rub
with a soft cloth to prevent drying stains from forming. The
layer of enamel has been applied by electrostatic
precipitation of a powder on the metal.
This is liquefied in an oven and forms a tight, hard
synthetic layer. This layer can be damaged when knocked
or bumped by sharp objects. Touching up a damaged spot
with a sealing stick will keep your wheelchair in good
shape. Regularly clean hair and dirt from the wheel axles
and the outside of the bearings. The ball-bearings are
sealed. Do not exercise any pressure on these, as the
sealing rings are rubber rings and might allow dirt to enter
to the inside of the bearings, if they are bent.
