10 Defects and maintenance
All Veldink4kids wheelchairs have been inspected and adjusted for immediate use when leaving the
factory. Continuous use demands regular maintenance and adjustment, especially when the original
settings have been altered. The initial settings, which were carried out by your consultant/dealer,
should be in conformity with your physique and your personal preferences.
Should you wish to change a setting yourself, you may carry it out with the help of a tool kit, socket
screw keys of 3, 4, 5 and 6 mm.
The following schedule gives some idea of when routine maintenance should be carried out.

Check the tracking of the wheelchair, to ensure the
wheelchair runs in a straight line without any extra
pushing or braking.

Armrests (height adjustable) Make sure all
connections are tight and check for proper
operation.

Check upholstery of seat and back for wear and
stretching of material.

Complete inspection, safety test and maintenance
should be carried out by your dealer or by
Veldink4kids.
