Maintenance
7. Maintenance
7.1. Access for maintenance operations
Before performing any maintenance operation on the
transformer, follow the measures required by applicable
legislation, including:
1.
Disconnect all the electrical power sources for the
circuits until the transformer is turned off, interlocking
or blocking the necessary breaking devices to prevent
any power supply.
2.
Check that electrical voltage is not present.
3.
Earth and short-circuit all the electrical power sources.
4.
Using an insulating stick, earth the transformer bushings
and ensure that any static electricity is discharged.
5.
Delimit and mark the work area properly.
6.
Check that the transformer does not leak dielectric
liquid.
In case of dielectric liquid leakages, contact
Ormazabal
.
7.2. Transformer check
7.2.1. Transformer temperature
The transformer's working temperature is directly related to
the working life of the insulating materials Therefore, it is
necessary to monitor or control the maximum temperature
values recorded by the instruments
However, the transformer is fitted with calibrated protection
elements which give out an alarm/trip signal whenever the
appropriate work temperature is exceeded.
7.2.2. Oil volume inspection
The oil volume must be checked from the point of view of
insulation and cooling. If the oil level fluctuates significantly
relative to the transformer working temperature, the cause
must be determined before proceeding with repair.
