Description 

TC-BIP-V 

Tandem Connection-Bit Interleaved Parity error. Indicates a 
BIP error count is being received from downstream TCM 
equipment. Bits 1-2 of the Z6 byte are used for this indicator. 
This is an error LED. 

TC-REI-V 

Tandem Connection-Remote Error Indication. Indicates that 
an error has occurred at the downstream TCM equipment. 
The unit is receiving an error. Bit 5 of the Z6 byte is used for 
this indicator. This is an error LED. 

TC-OEI-V 

Tandem Connection-Outgoing Error Indication. Indicates that 
the unit is sending an OEI error to upstream TCM equipment. 
Bit 6 of the Z6 byte is used for this indicator. This is an error 
LED. 

TC-RDI-V 

Tandem Connection-Remote Defect Indication. Indicates that 
a defect has occurred at the downstream TCM equipment. 
The unit is receiving an alarm. Bit 8 in multiframe 73 of the Z6 
byte is used for this indicator. This is an alarm LED. 

TC-ODI-V 

Tandem Connection-Outgoing Defect Indicator. Indicates that 
the unit is sending an ODI alarm to upstream TCM 
equipment. Bit 7 in multiframe 74 of the Z6 byte is used for 
this indicator. This is an alarm LED. 

TC-AIS-V 

Indicates that the unit is sending an AIS alarm to upstream 
TCM equipment. Bit 4 of the Z6 byte is used for this indicator. 
This is an alarm LED. 

TC-UNEQ-V 

Tandem Connection-Unequipped. Indicates that a 00h 
pattern has been detected in the Z6 byte of a Tandem 
Connection. This is an alarm LED. 

TC-LOF-V 

Tandem Connection-Loss of Frame. Indicates the loss of a 
valid multiframe frame alignment signal (FAS) pattern from 
upstream TCM equipment. This is an alarm LED.
