Adaptation
Easy Installation
Related to the PC 5200‘s compact size and the non-sensitive SD card
slot, it is easy to find some space in the car to hide it. Due to the turn-
able gyro, the PC 5200‘s mounting position is nearly free selectable
depending on the integration situation - even upside down is feasible.
For further convenience it is not required to connect the car‘s speed
signal. *
Tour Editor
This new waypoint handling enables the user to enter up to 10 accu-
mulated destinations for one single tour. In addition, one may store up
to 7 different tours in a separate memory.
Secure Digital (SD) Card
The PC 5200‘s two SD card slots can both be used for maps and/or
travel info products in parallel. For individual selection of maps/data,
the user may use the “Installation Assistant“ which comes along on a
DVD-ROM to copy maps and data from this media onto a SD card.
Integrated RDS-TMC Receiver
Traffic information is available through the integration of a TMC Re-
ceiver. The resulting combination of functions is not only better value
for money but simplifies the installation. It only requires the connec-
tion to the FM Antenna.
2D/3D Map View incl. Auto-Scale
Through the special software, the precise and smooth map is view-
able in the classic 2D or new 3D view. The automatic scale change
lets the system select between 3 user definable scales. Depending
whether the car is located downtown, in a rural area or on a motor-
way, the scale changes automatically to the according value.
3D Map View incl. Angle Adjustment and Panorama 3D View
Thanks to the new angle adjustment functionality the PC 5200 allows
to tilt the map in the following angles: 55°, 58°, 61° and 64°. Fur-
thermore it is now possible to do free 360° scrolling in 3D Map View
to get an overview on the surrounding area of the current position or
destination.
Dynamic Navigation via TMC
The system is able to process traffic information, which is provided
through its internal RDS-TMC receiver (Radio Data System - Traffic
Message Channel). This traffic information is evaluated and inclu-
ded in the route calculation. The delta (travel time, distance) for the
current route is shown and the driver can decide whether he wants to
drive this new route or not. It is possible to customize the system‘s
behaviour for dynamic route planning.
Extensive Destination Input Possibilities
With the great number of input possibilities, virtually every destination
can be found. The destination input is supported by the ‘Intelligent
Typewriter‘. Only the alphabetic characters that are necessary will be
presented automatically, making destination selection considerably
simpler.

Slightly reduced positioning accuracy possible. In extreme shadowed areas
GPS reception may not be available. GPS aerial must be mounted intervisible
to sky direction.
