12.1.2 Cleaning work
NOTICE
The machine is splash-proof and can be cleaned with liquids. However, do not use high pres-
sure cleaners to clean the machine!
First day after initial start-up
•
Clean the filter sieve in the water supply line. The procedure is described in the section "Cleaning
the water supply line filter sieve".
•
When the Shrink Tunnel VC999 ST2 D is connected to a central steam generation unit: Clean the
filter sieve in the steam supply line. The procedure is described in section "Cleaning the steam sup-
ply line filter sieve (VC999 ST2 D)".
Daily
•
Clean both sieves. This requires the removal of the belt cartridge. This procedure is described in the
section "Cleaning the belt cartridge and sieve".
•
Wipe the outer surfaces of the machine with a moist sponge or cloth.
•
Clean the photocell and the reflector (Fig. 3/1, Pos. 20 + 16) with a moist sponge or cloth.
Weekly
•
Clean the belt cartridge and both sieves. This procedure is described in the section "Cleaning the
belt cartridge and sieve".
•
Decalcify the system. This procedure is described in the section "Decalcification mode".
•
After the decalcification process, remove any limescale from other machine parts.
Weekly
•
Clean the filter sieve in the water supply line. This procedure is described in the section "Cleaning
the water supply line filter sieve".
•
When the Shrink Tunnel VC999 ST2 D is connected to a central steam generation unit: Clean the
filter sieve in the steam supply line. This procedure is described in the section "Cleaning the steam
supply line filter sieve (VC999 ST2 D)".
Yearly
•
A full maintenance and inspection service provided by the VC999 service team is recommended af-
ter 1,500 operating hours (at least once a year).
