8.5 Setting Folder Exclusions with Anti-virus Software
Some files the imaging system uses can be recognized as viruses by anti-virus
software. For this reason, you must set a folder exclusion before starting the PC
system.
For Green X / X18 , exclude the following paths and software from the virus scan:
Path Software
C:\Program Files\Vatech Ez3D-i / EzDent-i
C:\VCaptureSW Console Software
To set folder exclusions:
1. Open the McAfee anti-virus program and select the VirusScan .
2. Right-click the On-Access Scan menu option and left-click the Properties tab.
3. Select the
All Processes
→
Detection
→
Exclusions
menu option and click
Add .
4. Search for all folders and files you want to exclude from the virus scan. When
adding them to the exclusion, click the checkbox “ Also Exclude Subfolders .”
5. Click OK and exit McAfee.
When running a virus scan:

Do not run the memory-resident background
programs unrelated to the equipment.

Run the scan when the equipment is not active.

Ensure to use a blank USB drive.
