Restart prevention

To avoid unintentional start up of the shredder After the power supply has been cut, the
shredder is equipped with a ‘restart prevention system’ and will not start up again by itself
when the power goes back on.
To restart, push the green button again.

8.5

Collect box

Caution! Switch off and unplug the machine before attaching or removing
the retaining basket.

Check the functionality of the interlock feature every two hours for safe
operation.

Never attempt to override the interlock feature of guarding.

The lock lever works as follows:

Upper position: collect box is locked.

Lower position: collect box is unlocked. The device does not switch on because of
safety function.

The machine is not switched on if the lock lever is in the lower position. The machine
automatically stops if the collect box is unlocked during operation.

8.6

Blade cover

Caution! Make sure that the machine is switched off and unplugged before
opening the blade cover.

Wear protective gloves when opening the blade cover.

The cutter does not stop immediately after switch off. Wait until all parts
stop.

In case the material clogs badly in the upper enclosure, remove it by opening the blade cover.

9  OPERATION

9.1

Putting into operation

Before you plug the connection cable of the mains supply into the socket, you have to retract
the black "pull-out" protection (6), plug in the socket and then let spring back the protection.
Otherwise caused by vibrations the plug will be disconnected from the socket.

9.2

Shredder start-up

Slide the collect box into place;

Close the lock handle of the collect box(move upwards) to close  the safety switch;

Connect the power;

Press the green ON  button  to switch the shredder on;

Feed material into the feeding funnel;

The material is automatically pulled in by the chopping knife.

Caution! Longer material standing out from the machine could lash out
when being pulled in by the chopping knife! Keep a safety distance!
