11.3

Adjusting the telescopic tube (Fig.9)

The telescopic tube can be infinitely adjusted using telescopic collar (21).

Open the clamp lever (22), hold the device and adjust the rod length by pushing or pulling.

Close the clamp lever.

12 STARTING AND STOPPING THE CHAIN SAW

WARNING Keep body to the left of the chain line. Never straddle the saw or
chain, or lean over past the chain line.

12.1

Starting the chain saw

Make sure chain tension is at desired setting. Refer to Adjusting the Chain Tension in the
Maintenance of this manual.

Make sure the chain cover lock bolt is tight to the chain cover.

Make sure no objects or obstructions are in immediate vicinity which could come in
contact with the bar and chain.

Fit the battery pack into the chain saw (fig.10)

Depress the lock-off button (4) and pull the switch trigger (5).

Press and hold the switch trigger, release the switch lock and continue to squeeze the
switch trigger for continued operation.

12.2

Stopping the chain saw

NOTE: It is normal for the chain to coast to a stop once the trigger switch is
released.

Release the switch trigger to stop the chain saw.

Upon release of the switch trigger, the switch lock will be automatically reset to the lock
position.

13 GENERAL CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS

Caution:  while  the  saw  is  cutting,  be  sure  the  chain  and  bar  are  being
properly lubricated.

13.1

Sawing of small branches

Set your saw cut of smaller branches (0 0-8 cm) from top to bottom, as illustrated. Be aware of
easily breaking of the branch if you have underestimated the size and weight.
Be completely aware of the falling cut material.

13.2

Sawing off parts (Fig.11)

For  large/long  branches,  sawing  off  in  parts  is  recommended.  This  is  the  only  way  to  safely
ensure the point of impact of the cut material.
Clear away from the area in which you are standing any parts that have already been cut and
are lying on the ground.

13.3

Sawing of larger branches (Fig. 12)

For controlled sawing of larger branches (08-2Ocm), first select a relief cut (see cutting a).
This is made from below. Saw a notch in the lower third of the branch.
The actual length cut (see cutting b) is again made from the top, as far as possible in line with
the first cut so that the two cuts meet.
