NOTE: When placing the bar on the bar studs, ensure that the adjusting pin
is in the chain tension pin hole.

The tension of saw chain (1) is important both for your safety and for the function of the cordless
chainsaw. A correctly tensioned saw chain will increase the lifetime of your equipment.
Check the chain tension before each use of the cordless pruner.
Always check  the saw chain tension  before  use,  after the first cuts and  regularly  during  use,
approx, every five cuts. Upon initial operation, new chains can lengthen considerably. This is
normal  during  the  break-in  period  and  the  interval  between  future  adjustments  will  lengthen
quickly.

Place the product on a suitable flat surface with the chain sprocket cover (11) facing
towards you.

Check the chain tension using one hand to lift the saw chain (1) against the weight of the
product. The correct chain tension is achieved when the saw chain can be lifted by
approximately 2-4 mm from the guide bar (2) in the centre.(fig.5)

NOTE: The chain tension in new saw chains must be readjusted after a short
operating period.

NOTE: If chain is too tight, it will not rotate. Loosen the chain cover lock knob
slightly and turn the chain tensioning wheel 1/4 turn anti clockwise. Lift the
tip of the guide bar up and retighten the chain cover lock knob.  Ensure that
the chain will rotate without binding.

10.3

Lubricating oil for the saw chain (Fig. 6)

Before starting up your new chain saw, the container must be filled with chain saw oil.
(Available in our product range: POWOIL003 - 1L & POWOIL006 - 5L)

It allows operating the chain saw at ambient temperatures down to as low as -15°C.

Never use waste oil for lubricating the saw chain.

To top the saw up with lubricating oil unscrew the filler cap. Make sure that no dirt gets
into the oil container while filling up. The oil level can be checked through the gauge glass.

10.4

Attaching the shoulder strap (Fig.7)

Attach the carabiner hook of the shoulder strap (25) to the shoulder strap buckle (23).

Quick release can press the buckle on shoulder strap (25).

11 OPERATION

11.1

Before using a new chain saw

Please read this manual carefully.

Fully charge the battery before using it the first time. See instructions under the heading
Charging the battery.

Fill with chain oil. See instructions under the heading Filling with chain oil.

Check that the cutting equipment is correctly fitted and adjusted. See instructions under
the heading Assembly.

Do not use the chain saw until sufficient chain oil has reached the chain. See instructions
under the heading Lubricating cutting equipment.

Long-term exposure to noise can result in permanent hearing impairment. So always use
approved hearing protection.

11.2

Adjusting the saw head (Fig.8)

The saw head can be tilted in 4 positions in order to be able to cut crooked branches.

Press the angle adjusting button (18) and simultaneously tilt the saw head (17).

It locks into the desired position when the button is released.
