2315NDT v2 CMOS X-ray Detector User Manual
The scintillator plate, composed either of Cesium Iodide or Gadolinium Oxysulphide, is pressed
in contact with the FOP. The unit is housed in an aluminum enclosure, with a carbon fiber
composite panel providing an X-ray “window” in the image Field of View (FoV).
Analog outputs from the CMOS sensor are digitized by 14-bit analog to digital converters (ADC)
controlled by an on-board logic engine. The engine combines the parallel data stream and re-
packages it into a format suitable for transmission through a Camera Link (CL) Medium 80 MHz (2
cables) interface.
13.4
Power Supply
All Varex Imaging CMOS flat panel X-ray detectors require a DC power supply. For details of the
power requirements, see
.
Integration of the power supply into a final system is the responsibility of the system
manufacturer along with any associated qualification and validation.
13.5
Data Interface
Communication between the flat panel X-ray detectors and the host computer is through CL
interface.
WARNING
The power supply must in all cases provide double insulation, Class II or
Class I with protective earth.
WARNING
IT equipment attached to Varex Imaging flat panel X-ray detectors
within the manufacturers system should be IEC 60950 approved, as a
minimum.
The system manufacturer shall ensure that for any hazard due to
moisture or liquids, the instructions for use shall specify any additional
precautions necessary.
