4.2.1 ENGINE START-UP
1. Check to make sure all switches (for
Welder and Generator) are in the
OFF
position prior to starting
(Consult
Figure 4-2
and
Figure 4-
3
.)
2. Turn the engine control switch from
the
OFF
position to the
ON
position.
3. Continue turning control switch to
the
START
position [

] until the
engine starts (when the switch is let
go, it will revert back to
ON
position).
4. Let engine run at idle for a 3-5
minutes to allow for warm up
sequence.
4.2.2 ENGINE SHUTDOWN

. To shut the engine off at
any time, turn the engine control switch to
the
OFF
position [
A
1
]. However, this method
is best reserved for emergency shutdown
situations only.
NOTE
Air compressor will start automatically
with machine start-up.
CAUTION
Compressors and engines generate heat
and create hot surfaces. Use caution
when operating and servicing
equipment. Some surfaces and
components may be hot.
