[Essential tools] A Philips screwdriver, Hexagonal
wrench 3mm (1500 model)
[Replace when] The heating element breaks,
unevenness is generated, or when the
seal becomes messy, etc.
For 600, 800, 1000, and 1200 Models

The heating element is covered with the fluoro
glass sheet. Remove the fluoro glass sheet
referring to “
9-1 How to shift fluoro glass
sheet ”.

Remove the electrode cover securing screws on
both sides of an electrode cover using a Philips
screwdriver. Also remove the electrode cover.

Lift the electrode lever downward for the upper
heating element or upward for the lower heating
element.

Loosen the heating element securing screw and
remove the damaged heating element.

With the electrode lever still lifted downward/
upward, insert a new heating element into the
electrode groove. Make sure that the heating
element stays in place with the electrode as you
securely tighten the heating element securing
screws to keep the heating element in place.
Return the electrode lever to its former state and
increase tension in heating element.

Attach the electrode cover removed in “2”, and
attach the fluoro glass sheet removed in “1”.

9-3 Heating element replacement
Caution
Attention
For safety, always attach the electrode
cover after replacing the heating element.
Always use a Van der Stahl Scientific -
designated, special heating element for
replacement. Using a heating element
other than the designated heating element
may cause the transformer to be heat-
damaged.
When the heating element is broken or
even if not but there is no electric current,
the disconnection alarm starts and the error
message appears saying “SEAL NG heat
error”. In this case, the replacement of
parts or repair is required. Please refer to
“17 Common problems and solutions >>>
Error message”.
