Test printing
There are two methods for loading the roll media to this printer.
Use the appropriate method depending on the media you are using.
Tension take-up method
You can apply the load using the tension unit to take up the roll media.
Adjust to the appropriate load to avoid wrinkles or uneven printing. Operation manual “Adjusting the Weight” P.31
This take-up method is suitable for most media.
Slack take-up method
You can take up the roll media without using the tension unit.
Use this method for the media that tend to have wrinkles from too much load when using the tension take-up method.
This is suitable for thin media, light media, elastic media, and so on.
Load the media
Important!
Depending on the type of the media, we recommend that two or more persons set the media.
Set the media to the Take-up Unit
[1] Turn the printer ON.
[2] Open the front cover.

Close the ink gutter cover.
Note
If you do not close the ink gutter cover, the ink inside the gutter may adhere to the
media while loading media.
