8. Testing and Maintenance
Before welding and connecting the electrofusion machine to an electrical
outlet, check:
8.1
Protection of the electrical system: the socket must be protected by a differential
switch (I
=30mA)
8.2
Rated supply voltage must be 230V
8.3
Sockets and extension cables: must be adapted to the machine power as per the
following table:
Cable cross-section [mm

1.5
2.5

Extension length [m]

8.4 Cables and wires
must have intact insulating sheaths, cannot
be placed in zones of
passage of vehicles or pedestrians, must not be subjected to contact with chemical
agents or strong physical solicitations.
8.5 Machine must be isolated and placed on stable ground
.
Keep the machine with its connection cables clean and dry. Before carrying out any
cleaning operations, disconnect the plug from the socket. Clean with a soft cloth
dampened with water or alcohol (avoid any type of solvent).
MUSTANG 160 is an electronic device and therefore must be handled with care, avoiding
violent impacts and significant changes in temperature.
The user must periodically carry out checks to ensure the reliability of the welding
machine over time. Above all check the status of the following items:
8.6 Connection plugs
8.7 Power and welding cables
8.9 LEDs and keyboard
8.10 Mechanical structure (casing
)
If anomalies are found on one or more elements, the welding machine must be checked
by either the manufacturer or authorized company.
