763BPB Backing Plate
Installation Instructions
Use with
Valor heater models 739 only
The 763BPB plate is intended to be used on Valor heaters models 739 only. Mounting of the 763 does not aff ect
clearances or other specifi cations listed in the heater installation manuals.
Note: As this plate has no depth or thickness to it, a cavity height of at least
24” and a cavity depth of at least 14” are required to fully recess the heater.
Otherwise this plate will stand approximately 1” forward of the wall surface.

Installation
1. Attach the two shrouds (support brackets) supplied with the 739 fi replace to the rear
mounted rails of the backing plate (3 screws/side).
The shrouds should be fl ush
with the plate at the bottom.
2. Attach the complete plate to the 739 fi rebox (2 screws/side).
If the plate requires touch up, use the following paint specifi cation:
Stove Bright high temperature paint
Flat black #6304.
The 763 Backing Plate can be used where necessary to
cover larger fi replace openings. It is compatible with all
optional inner trim kits.
