6.8.1 Problem Situations with WAV151

sensor.

The sensor is not powered
properly.

Check that the supply voltage is 9.5 … 15.5
VDC.

Improper or loose
connections.

Check the wiring and tighten the screw
terminals.

After removing the
connector's hex nut, the

connector is bent, which
breaks the connection wires.

Check the connector.

The sensor is mechanically
damaged.

Send the sensor to Vaisala for repair.

Sensor body is covered with
ice and snow.

Sensor heating does not
function.

Check the status indicator of the surge
arrester. If the indicator is red, change the

removable plug in the surge arrester.
Heating is disabled when the system is
running on backup battery. Check that the

power cable is connected (the cable is not
loose).

Heating element is not
properly connected or does
