SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

2.1

Safety

This section gives an overview of all important safety aspects relating to the protection of personnel as well as
the safe use and fault-free operation. Other, task-specific safety instructions can be found in the sections on
the individual phases of the product's life.

DANGER!

Failure to observe the safety instructions may result in risks to life and health!

2.2

Intended use

Compact conductor systems (type VKS10) are touch-safe conductor rails. The insulating housing (up to 10-pin)
enables direct routing in track supports and support profiles. The conductor system must only be used for in-
door systems. It can be mounted vertically or horizontally.

Appropriate use includes following all the information in these instructions.

Any use beyond or other than the appropriate use, conversion or other modification is to be considered misuse
and prohibited.

WARNING!

Danger in case of improper use!

Improper use may give rise to hazardous situations.

Only ever use the system for its intended purpose.

►

Never let untrained personnel operate the system.

►

Never modify or alter the system improperly.

►

Never operate the system in ways that contradict the safety instructions.

►

Never use the system for outdoors applications.

►

Never operate the system at higher than specified currents or voltages.

►

Never operate the system with carbon brushes made by other manufacturers.

►

Never expose the system to large amounts of water.

Claims for damages resulting from improper use shall be invalid.
