Feed points - rail coupler

TIPS AND RECOMMENDATIONS!

Information on the SMGM feed points

The SMGM rail coupler feeding points can be installed variable through the SMGM rail.
In general, when planning the feeding point, the number of SMGM modules, the
lengths of the used coaxial cable and the mechanical length of the SMGM rail must be
considered.

The longer the HF coaxial cable wires in the system, the shorter the resulting segment
length.

The coaxial cable lengths must be included when calculating the segment lengths
when using the SMGM-SI-2. The maximum segment length can be achieved with the
installation of the SMGM-SI-2 interfaces directly at the end of the rails using 500 mm
HF cable.

The joint use and installation of the Ethernet and 24 VDC supply infrastructure at the
transition elements can be of benefit for the variable installation of the SMGM feeding
points.
