Using for the first time
Before operating the newly installed appliance for the first time the following steps
should be taken:
A
Remove all packaging and transport materials from the cooking space.

If is flashing in the right-hand display, turn the adjusting knob to
set the desired time.
– After about 15 seconds the display stops flashing and the time is set.

Heat the empty appliance (i.e. without the wire shelf, baking tray, etc.) using the
operating mode at the maximum cooking space temperature for approximate-
ly 1 hour. There is likely to be some smoke and odour given off, we therefore rec-
ommend ventilating the room well during this phase.

If your appliance comes with hotplates, heat each hotplate individually (without
cookware) at full power for 5 minutes, then switch off and allow to cool down.
Again, ensure that the room is well ventilated throughout.
