Noise measurement
The measurement is to be carried out in accordance with the European Norm
EN 60704-2-3, section 6.1.3.

The appliance is to be installed in accordance with the accompanying in-
stallation instructions. In particular, for certain models it is important to se-
cure the slide plate to the floor.

Feed the inlet and drain hose, as shown in the installation instructions, into
the adjacent niche.

A 19 mm thick chipboard (density: >750 kg/m³) is to be fitted as a deco-
rative plate on the door of the appliance in accordance with the accompa-
nying installation instructions. The decorative plate should reach down to
the floor, with a gap of 1–2 mm for ventilation.

To level out any unevenness between the test cabinet and the floor, seal
any gaps between the test cabinet and the floor. This will improve the re-
producibility of the measurement.

Before conducting a noise emission test, the appliance door must be
opened wide and then closed again.

As described in the norm, the measurement is to be carried out without de-
tergent and rinse agent. Rinse agent dosage should therefore be set to
«OFF».

Fill the salt reservoir with regeneration salt and then fill up with water.

Set the water hardness setting in accordance with the operating
instructions.
