2. Press the right Arrow button to open the second Head Setup screen (shown below).
A. This section includes a Location Field for entering the desired place position, the
Set Place Position button and a Status button. The status button will appear
green if the place position has been learned and red if it has not been learned. In
the screen above, the Place Position has already been learned.
To set the place position, use the Jog buttons to move the head to the desired
position. Press the Location Field to open a keypad. Enter the current position
from the bottom of the screen, then press the Set Place Position button to save
it. The Status button will now appear green.
B. The Jog buttons jog the head forward or backward along the X Axis (forward/
backward).
Head Speed is a percentage of the maximum velocity. It can be set between 1-10.
Jog Step is the distance in millimeters that the head will move when Jog is
pressed.
Note: The Jog Step field requires the value to be entered in the following format: XX.XX.
(i.e. 60.00).
C. The Current Position message show the location of the pick head in relation to
the Home position (when the head is closest to the front of the machine). For
example when the pick head is homed, the current position will be 0.00. This dis-
tance is measured in millimeters.
