After the second, fourth, and sixth tests a window launches asking 
the operator to refresh the surface of the cotton sample and the 
sampler door will open.  Fluff and rotate the cotton in the sampler 
drum(s) then press the

Long Cotton Calibration 

 
1.

 

Be sure to check that the standard values for long/strong cotton 
displayed on the screen are the same as the values on the box of 
long/strong cotton you are using for calibration. 

 
2.

 

Now perform Test 1 through 12 for long/strong cotton.  

 
3.

 

Repeat the steps you used for testing short/weak cotton, but use 
the long/strong calibration cotton, rotating and exchanging the 
cottons in the same order.
