Memory cards
Recorded data
The UDMR records DMX phrases and MIDI phrases which have been recorded by the unit onto
memory cards (sold separately).
In addition to phrases, it can also record settings information onto memory cards. Information is
not recorded onto the UDMR itself.
This recording functionality makes it possible to change the settings by simply switching the
memory card.
Up to 250 phrases can be recorded onto a single memory card.
* The total phrase time which can be recorded on a single memory card may vary depending on
the memory card's storage capacity and the number of DMX frames during recording. Refer to
'DMX phrase recording capacity' on page 24 for further details on the supported memory card
sizes and their maximum recording times.
* Depending on the length of the phrases to be recorded, it may not always be possible to create
the configured maximum number of phrases.
Handling of recorded data
Upon inserting the memory card in the slot, the UDMR reads the card's settings information.
Please be aware of the following points when inserting and using memory cards in both slots A
and B.
The slot A memory card receives priority over the slot B card for the following
settings information.
Control input settings
MIDI settings
System settings
* Please note that if the above settings differ for memory cards A and B, the above settings
recorded in card slot B will be disabled.
The UDMR reads the following settings information from each of the memory
cards.
Record settings
Phrase settings
Memory card edit settings
Recommended memory cards
The UDMR uses CompactFlash (CF) memory cards.
Please use Type 1 CF cards with a memory size of between 64MB and 2GB. The UDMR does not
support Microdrives.
CF cards are not included with the UDMR, and must be purchased separately.
