Setup

Connecting the power cord

This section describes how to connect the power cord to the UDMR.

Only use the power cord provided with the UDMR and make sure that the earth is properly
attached.

The provided power cord features a three-terminal plug with an earth terminal to prevent electric
shock and damage to the unit.

Connecting to grounded outlets (three terminal slots)

Simply insert the power cord's plug into the electrical outlet.

Connecting to outlets with ground terminal (two terminal slots)

Attach the 2P-3P converter to the plug and insert into the outlet after first inserting the ground
connection.

* Always insert the ground connection before inserting the power plug into the outlet.

* When removing the ground connection, always unplug the power plug from the outlet first.

If the outlet does not have a ground terminal, have one installed by a qualified electrician.

If you are unsure about how to connect the UDMR, contact your nearest USHIO head office,
branch or sales office listed on the back of this manual.
