Remedies for Safety Concerns
Zone 3
Safety edges are the best protection. A photo eye may also be used. For
vehicle traffic, magnetic vehicle detectors and wire sensing loops are preferred.
Zone 4
This area is best protected with a photo eye wired to the secondary entrapment
input. The beam should be installed parallel to the gate in the open position or
along the obstructing wall or fence.
Zone 5
Safety edges and photo eyes are the most common types of protection available.
Every installation is unique and it is the installer's responsibility to recognize and remedy all safety
concerns. Please consult a qualified dealer, or the factory for a complete explanation of the
remedies shown above and additional tips pertaining to your installation.
