CHARGING BATTERY

1. Attach the battery pack
to the charger by aligning
the raised portion of the
battery pack with the slot in
the charger. Slide the battery
pack onto the charger.

2. The charger will communicate with the bat-
tery pack’s circuitry to evaluate the condition
of the battery pack.
3. The POWER BAR LED lights will lit circularly
from right to left and the green LED indicator
will be flashing during charging. This is part of
the normal charging operation.
4. After charging is complete, the green LED on
the charger will come ON and the POWER BAR
LED lights will go OFF. The POWER BAR LED
lights will not be displayed when the POWER
BAR BUTTON is pressed while the battery pack
is on the charger.
5. The battery pack will fully charge, but will
not overcharge, if left on the charger.
NOTE: During the charging procedure, the bat-
tery warms up, this is normal.

INSERTING AND REMOVING A BIT

WARNING: Remove the battery pack and set
the forward/reverse control to the locked cen-
ter position when installing or removing bits to
prevent accidental starting.

TO INSTALL
Turn the keyless chuck
clockwise direction to
loosen the collet, insert
the bit or other accesso-
ry into the keyless chuck
and tighten securely
by turning the keyless
chuck counter-clockwise
direction.
Make sure the keyless chuck is tightened in
place.
TO REMOVE
To remove the bit or accessory, turn the keyless
chuck clockwise direction to loosen the collet,
and then get the bit out.

DUAL RANGE GEAR SELECTOR

The dual range gear selector allows you to
select the gear with the optimum speed and
torque to suit the application.
Use low speed for starting holes without a cen-
ter punch, driving screws and drilling ceramics,
or in applications requiring a higher torque.
High speed is better for drilling wood, wood
compositions, steel and for using abrasive and
polishing accessories.
