GENERAL DESCRIPTION
1043/512 is a fire alarm addressable sounder base with optical indicator compatible with URMET 1043/5X0
fire detection control panels. The base can be used in conjunction with a detector of the series 1043/5XX or
alone using the provided cap. The base contains a short circuit isolator in order to preserve the detection
circuit integrity and a bicolour red/green LED to show the operating status and the device address. Inside
the base, there are 8 red LED that blink during the acoustic signalling. The addressable base is
configurable by the control panel or using a set of micro-switches: it is possible to disable the optical
signalling, set the volume and the tones.
In the addressable base the acoustic and optical synchronization with the other 1043/512 bases installed
on the same detection circuit is implemented
The 1043/512 base can be used as a sounder base not connected to the detection circuit but power
supplied and controlled by a fire alarm signalling circuit (siren output) coming of a fire detection control
panel.
ADDRESSING AND PROGRAMMING
The address of the base (1-128) is configured via software by using the fire control panel with automatic or
manual procedure. The address is stored, into the device, in a non volatile memory. The address can be
displayed by the bicolour LED indicator using a specific procedure activated in the control panel. The
addressable base is recognized by the control panel as an “OM” device; the base is activated or silenced
by the control panel according to its settings: the detector hooked on the base does not influence in the
base operation.
Define a group of points in order to associate the base to the relevant detector.
The base can be configured by the control panel or using the micro-switches.
